Hello & welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my online home. I’m Andy Hoyle, and I work as voiceover artist and radio presenter, based in the North West of England. My interest in broadcasting started at my local hospital radio station in the late 1980’s, where I was a presenter, news reader, and Programme Controller.

The experience I gained there helped me to get work in the media industry, first as a technical operator at Granada Television in Manchester, and then moving into radio presentation professionally. Since the early 90’s I’ve presented programmes on many local commercial radio stations, and continue to have regular shows at a number of different stations today. It was around this time that I also started to work as a voiceover, mainly on commercials and radio station imaging. Since then, my voice has been heard all over the world, from UK radio commercials, to regional television campaigns in Australia, and much more besides.

I’ve provided voices for telephone on-hold systems, computer game characters, video narrations and website audio. Away from work, I enjoy most kinds of music, but have a particular soft spot for the 1980’s. I also like to relax watching cult television and British movies, and continue to be fascinated by new technology.

But if the gadgets start to get the better of me, I take time off from them with my other interest, looking after my tropical fish!
